| Customer Reviews: GOOD BASIC PHONE WITH SUPERIOR SOUND QUALITY February 25, 2006 Rebecca C. (Florida, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
LIKES....
*Price was extremely good for the features and sound quality of this 5.8 GHz cordless phone.
* Easy to understand manual made set up/programming a breeze.
* Just enough features to provide the essential basic conveniences, e.g., caller i.d., address book, redial, hold, volume control, voice mail indicator light, and more.
* Sound quality of this 5.8 GHz cordless phone eliminates most of the static air reception that I experienced with my 2.4 GHz cordless phone. You almost think that the person you are talking with on this phone is in the room with you.
DISLIKES....
*The voice mail indicator light is not compatible with my telephone company voice mail provider. Huge disappointment in this product because now I have to pick up the phone constantly to manually check to see if I have voice mail. Manual provides a disclaimer about this by saying that the voice mail indicator light works with most telephone company voice mail providers.
*The design of the ear rest portion of this phone makes it awkward to position your ear to hear the caller and on a lengthy call can become uncomfortable.
TIP....
When the phone is in the standby mode, the phone display is very dark and hard to read if you have to manually check caller i.d. to see if you have any new calls. By accident, I found that if you press the SELECT key it will activate the display light. The display light will automatically shut off or you can press the END CALL key to diactivate the display light.
